Operation Arc Angel

The holidays will be quicker than you know it! Calling all elves...if you, your family, or your place of business would like to sponsor a person with a developmental disability (child or adult) this December, please let us know. Our agency serves anyone who is financially needy that has a developmental disability, plus anyone living in a state center who is from either Union or Cabarrus County. We rely on the generosity of a community to make this happen. (The approximate cost to sponsor one person is just forty dollars.) Help us with our Aktion Clubs!

The Aktion Club is a group of self-determined and empowered adults with developmental disabilities. As self-advocates, they strive to end discrimination and make a change for the better in the way society views people with disabilities. The Aktion Club members have united to lobby for their rights, develop friendships, learn about community resources, contribute, and become part of the community. Many times colunteers are needed to assist with Aktion Club projects. Please call Steve McIllwain to get involved at 704-261-1550, ext. 202
